Mme Mona Boyé

PhD Business Development and Scientific Coordination, Alsace BioValley Mona Boyé is Manager of the Alsace BioValley Business Development team, in charge of setting up French and European R&D research projects as well as funding of projects and biotech companies. After a PhD in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry and a Postdoc in biochemistry, cellular biology, she was a patent officer at TFH Berlin. She was also responsible for technical transfer projects for public research laboratories in the region of Aquitaine, France and Coordinator of the Trinational Cluster BioValley

New routes for teaching in the Upper Rhine Basin

M. Jean-Marc Jeltsch

Vice-President in charge of industrial partnerships, University of Strasbourg Professor of molecular biology and biotechnology at the University of Strasbourg (France), Jean-Marc Jeltsch graduated in 1979 from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (Lyon, France) as a biochemist and obtained his PhD in molecular and cellular biology in 1982 from the University (Strasbourg). He was sensitized to business and administration (Master, IAE, Strasbourg, 1984). Head of the genetic engineering service at the Faculty of Medicine, he left in 1988 to become CSO of a start-up devoted to service-based R & D for international seed and agro-food industries. In 1992, he got his “Habilitation à Diriger les Recherches”, and the year after, was recruited at the still occupied professor position. The many research subjects explored up to now broaden his horizons to allow an integrative view in Life Sciences. Director of the studies at the European Biotechnology School of the Upper Rhine Universities (ESBS, 2005-2007), and of the PhD program in life sciences at the University of Strasbourg (2003-2007), he joined the board of the University in 2006 and was re-elected Vice-President since then. In charge of the partnerships with companies (2013-2016), he is a board member of several organisations as well as a Vice-President of the «Fibres - Energivie» cluster
